Have you ever actually turned your nose up at something? Like, yes, I’d get it if something smelled so bad that you actually had a physical reaction and turned your head away from it.
But that’s not what I’m talking about here! I’m talking about, have you seen something that you thought was beneath you, and you actually turned your head upward and away in societal disgust?
If so, you’re probably a bit of a snob! Most people don’t realize when they are being snobbish, but a word or an opinion can change how people feel about them.
Coming off as entitled or trying to explain something to someone when you think they are wrong can make you come off as a snob.
A snob often thinks they’re better than everyone else. This could be because they have a lot of money or they just have a sense of entitlement for another reason.

Figuring out the answer to whether or not you're a snob can be tricky. For one, you may not realize that you're a snob, no matter how many times people tell you in your life!
Your answers to questions can come off as snobby. Those around you may have to suffer through a point you're making where you go into great detail and overexplain things as if they aren't capable of understanding. An example of this is mansplaining.
Of course, not everyone is fully snobbish. They may just throw in snobbery once in a while.
If so, it can be excusable because they may be passionate about a topic and just want to share their knowledge with others. But it's when they overexplain and just get stuck on something that they can't let go that makes them a snob.
There are multiple ways to be a snob. It can be all fun and games until someone is offended by something that is said.
Friends might have to cover for the snobbish one, and the conversation or relationship may be cheapened. There's a lot that goes with dealing with someone that is snobby.
