      Asexual Orientation Quiz

Asexual people, though lacking sexual attraction to any gender, might engage in purely romantic relationships, while others might not. Researchers generally define asexuality as the lack of sexual attraction or the lack of sexual interest, but their definitions vary; they may use the term "to refer to individuals with low or absent sexual desire or attractions, low or absent sexual behaviors, exclusively romantic non-sexual partnerships, or a combination of both absent sexual desires and behaviors". Self-identification as asexual may also be a determining factor.

      The Asexuality Quiz

Well, aren't you a curious cat? You've heard about asexuality, haven't you? It's that orientation that's about as visible as a ninja in a library — all quiet and unassuming, but definitely there! Being asexual, or "ace" as the cool kids call it, means that someone doesn't experience sexual attraction to others. Now, you're probably wondering where you fit in on this kaleidoscope of sexual orientations. Do you find yourself shrugging at the mention of steamy romances? Does the idea of a hot date mean cozying up with a good book and a cup of tea? If you're nodding along, it's time for a little self-discovery with an asexuality quiz.

A table with a pencil, paper, and a computer displaying the Asexuality Quiz

But hold your horses — this isn't your typical magazine quiz that'll tell you which type of cheese best represents your love life. Nope, this is about understanding a bit more about your own orientation without having to sign up for a dating service. You see, a quiz can shed some light on the nuances of sexual attraction, or the lack thereof, and help you figure out if you might be part of the ace squad. So, if you're ready to dive into the fun and enlightening world of asexuality quizzes, you're in for a treat that's sweeter than finding an extra fry at the bottom of your takeout bag.

Just remember, whether you're as ace as a spade or finding yourself elsewhere on the spectrum, this quiz is just one piece of the puzzle. Your orientation is your own unique story, so whichever way the cookie crumbles, you're just right. So, let's get quizzical and find out what asexuality means for you! Ready for the ultimate asexuality quiz that’s more fun than a barrel of chuckling monkeys? Well, Brainfall’s Asexuality Quiz is waiting to whisk you away on a journey of self-discovery!

      Exploring the Spectrum

A colorful spectrum with various shades and hues, representing the diverse experiences of asexuality

Before diving headfirst into the world of asexuality quizzes, it's vital to get your bearings. Remember, this spectrum is broader than a buffet table, and understanding where you might slide along it is like picking your favorite dessert—exciting but a tad overwhelming.

      Understanding Asexuality

If you've ever felt like the odd one out for not daydreaming about frolicking in the sheets, you might just be on the asexuality spectrum. Think of it this way: If sexual attraction were a radio station, folks on the asexuality spectrum might find their frequency is often tuned to static. Demisexual? That's like needing a strong emotional bond before that signal comes in loud and clear. Or maybe you're graysexual, where sexual attraction is a sometimes food—like that one friend who only eats Brussels sprouts when they're covered in cheese.

      The Romantic Maze

But wait, there's more to this romantic spaghetti junction than meets the eye. If the idea of holding hands sounds just as appealing as a dental appointment, you could be aromantic—where romantic attraction simply isn't on your agenda. Now, if you fancy a swirl through the romantic spectrum, you might encounter terms like panromantic, where gender isn't a deciding factor in who you dream of sharing your Netflix account with. Don't confuse this with celibacy, which is less about intrinsic identity and more like choosing to skip dessert altogether—even when it's free. And just remember, being involved in sexual activity doesn't automatically exit you from the spectrum, it’s about attraction, not action. Welcome to the maze; grab your emotional compass!

      Taking the Asexuality Quiz

So, you're ready to join the ranks of quiz-takers and get a little closer to decoding your unique spot on the asexuality spectrum? Buckle up for a fun stroll down self-discovery lane!

What to Expect from the Quiz

Expect to answer questions ranging from your feelings about sexual contact to emotional connection. These free online quizzes are crafted to ponder your place on the asexuality scale. Remember, no two aces – that's short for acesexuality – are the same, just like no two snowflakes. Keep in mind that not all quizzes are created equal; look for ones with statistical controls and made by professionals like those quirky scientists at Brainfall.

      Interpreting Your Results

Once you've clicked that final answer, you'll get the big reveal. The results range from 'aces wild' to 'ace of hearts,' indicating just how closely you align with asexuality. But reading the tea leaves of your quiz results isn't like decoding the Da Vinci Code. Take it all in stride. Remember, a quiz is just a starting point. It's not a lifelong sentence, so no need to panic if your results read 'more sexual than a penguin in mating season' when you feel colder than a snowman's handshake.

Beyond the Quiz: Resources and Communities

Congratulations, you've taken the quiz! But wait, there's more to explore. If the quiz piqued your interest and you’re now asking, "Am I asexual or just love shy?", there are plentiful resources in the LGBTQ+ community. Join forums like AVEN where you can chat with others who get that human connection is more than just bumping uglies. For the women and LGBT folks, there are specialized spaces that are inclusive and embracing of all shades of the asexual rainbow. Get out there, share your results on social media, exchange those "same hat!" moments, and remember to always read the terms of service—nobody wants a quiz to go all 'Skynet' on them.

      Question 1/9

Is the idea of sex and intimacy something that really excites you?

      • Not really, I actually get excited about cuddling and sometimes kissing though.
      • Yes definitely. Sex is something which really excites me regardless of who it's with, just the idea of it is good.
      • No, nothing like this excites me at all, it all seems boring and unnecessary.
      • Sometimes, but only with someone whom I've formed a deep emotional bond with.
      • My days differ. Sometimes I feel excited about it, other times I really don't care
      Question 2/9

Do you develop crushes on people of your preferred gender?

      • Yes, however I never had sexual feelings towards this person, it was based on appearance and/or personality.
      • Yes, at first it was only based on their appearance/personality, but once I got to know them better, I began to feel sexual feelings towards them also.
      • Yes, in some cases I never developed sexual feelings towards them, but other times I have felt sexual feelings towards them instantly.
      • No, I've never had a crush on anybody that I know of, or can remember.
      • Yes, and in most cases I also develop sexual feelings towards them instantly.
      Question 3/9

What would be your ideal relationship as far as intimacy is concerned?

      • I think sex is a very important part of a relationship, I would very much like to be intimate with my partner on a regular basis (when my partner is ready of course).
      • To be honest, I don't see myself with anybody relationship-wise. I prefer the company of some really good friends, or just being on my own.
      • Just being with the person I really like, I don't feel the need to have sex or do anything overly intimate on my part. Cuddling and kissing is enough for me.
      • If I got to know my partner really well on an emotional level, I'd eventually like to take that next step into intimacy, including things like cuddling, kissing, sex etc.
      • Sometimes my feelings fluctuate between wanting to only just cuddle and kiss on a ongoing basis, whereas sometimes I really would like to be more intimate and do more sexual things.
      Question 4/9

Have you ever had sex before?

      • Yes, but it was with somebody whom I really loved, so I found it quite enjoyable.
      • I haven't had sex yet.
      • Yes, however my emotions on sex differ each time, sometimes I really love and enjoy it, other times I find it boring.
      • Yes, sex is pleasurable for me if I am physically attracted to the person I'm doing it with, regardless of our emotional bond.
      • Yes, but I only did it to please the other person, I found it to be boring.
      Question 5/9

Does looking at a naked picture of a aesthetically attractive person of your preferred gender aroused or excite you?

      • For the most part, yes it would.
      • Not at all, they would look better with their clothes on.
      • Never at all, in fact I don't find anyone aesthetically attractive.
      • If it's a picture of my lover, then possibly, otherwise not really
      • Depends on my mood. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
      Question 6/9

Hypothetically, if you were to never have sex (regardless if you're a virgin or not) ever again what would be your initial reaction?

      • Needless to say, this wouldn't bother me in the slightest, in fact, romance is probably something I could live without as well.
      • I'd be devastated! Sex is very important to me and I simply could not live without it.
      • For me it would depend. The idea of never being intimate again probably wouldn't be so bad, then again who knows if I would change my mind at some point and want to do it?
      • It wouldn't bother me at all if I didn't have any deep emotional connections with someone, otherwise, I'd be disheartened at the idea of not being intimate with the person I really loved.
      • I wouldn't have a problem with that at all, as long as I can still cuddle and kiss I don't care.
      Question 7/9

Do you masturbate? If so, what kinds of thoughts go through your mind?

      • Sometimes I'll think about someone I find attractive sexually, other times I'll think about something random and whatever thoughts cross my mind.
      • If I've developed a deep and emotional bond with someone I love, sometimes I'll think about them, their body etc. Otherwise, just whatever thoughts come into my mind
      • Nothing in particular, just whatever thoughts come into my mind, nobody specific
      • Usually, I'll think about someone who I find sexually arousing, maybe I'll look at pictures of naked men / women who turn me on.
      • I don't masturbate (or tried it once-twice and didn't care for it)
      Question 8/9

If you had to choose between eating a delicious dessert of your choice, or having hot sex, which would you pick?

      • I'd rather eat oatmeal than have "hot sex" with someone, so yeah, pass the sweets
      • If I wasn't in a deep and emotional relationship with my awesome S.O, I'd choose the dessert, otherwise, hot sex please!
      • The dessert, duh, *drools*
      • Well, obviously I'm going to pick the hot sex ;)
      • Depends entirely what mood I was in at the time, so I'm not too sure.
      Question 9/9

      Do you like kissing?

      • Yes it's alright, but I only prefer closed mouth.
      • Depends on my mood, sometimes I get really into it, open mouthed and everything, other times I just prefer closed mouthed and gentle.
      • Yes, kissing is exciting for me, I love all types of kissing, lip biting and sucking etc.
      • I really enjoy it and get into it deeply if it's with someone I have a deep connection with only.
      • No, the idea of me kissing someone doesn't appeal to me at all.
