      MLB Hall of Famer

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Cooperstown, NY. It shows the history of the game of baseball. Those who are elected to the hall by the Baseball Writers Association of America are enshrined in the plaque gallery in the center of the museum. If you make it into the national baseball Hall of Fame, you're considered among the greatest who ever played, coached, or was associated with the game.

Hall of fame members include players, managers, coaches, umpires, executives, and even non-players like media members. You are first eligible as a player to be on the ballot five years after you've retired, and the media members will vote in an annual election. Those who are named on 75% of ballots are inducted into the hall. If you don't make it in after 10 tries, you are eligible to be voted by the veteran's committee later on. Ballots are announced in February each year with the ceremony taking place in the summer in Cooperstown, NY.

      Legends of the Game

We all marvel at the eye-popping numbers, but it’s the tales of tenacity and sportsmanship that turn great baseball players into Hall of Famers. For instance, Hank Aaron didn't just hammer 755 home runs, he demonstrated unwavering courage while chasing down Babe Ruth's record amid a storm of discrimination. When we look at these icons, from Willie Mays making "The Catch" to a Gold Glove Award recipient getting down and dirty to snag a groundball, we're not just seeing plays; we’re witnessing the birth of legends.

A Legacy Etched in Baseball History

The world of baseball is stitched together with stories of glory and conquest, much like teams in Major League Baseball stitching wins together in pursuit of the World Series trophy. MLB Hall of Famers are the titans who have inspired generations of hopeful young players from every sandlot and inner-city alley. Beyond their athletic prowess, they embraced the values that define the sport, contributing to baseball history. It's not the pristine white of their uniform that fans remember; it's the dirt and grass stains that tell stories of victory and valor, like a well-traveled roadmap of their career from rookies to legends. These paragons, some rising from the storied Negro Leagues to Major League stardom, solidified their legacy, showing us that it's how you play the game that carves your spot in history.
