      Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals

Andrew Lloyd Webber is the most commercially successful composer of all time. He writes his own music and has written some of the most famous shows in history. Born the son of William Richard Lloyd Webber and Jean Hermione Johnstone, he lived in Kensington, London, and his parents were a composer and a violinist and pianist, respectively. He started writing his own music at a young age, and he put on productions with his brother, Julian Lloyd Webber, who grew up to be a world-renowned solo cellist. He was a Queen's Scholar at Westminster School and studied at Oxford before abandoning that to study at the Royal College of Music.

Lloyd Webber met Tim Rice when he was 17 and Tim was 20. Their first collaboration was when Lloyd Webber started writing The Likes of Us, which led to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Two years later, he and Tim did Jesus Christ Superstar.

Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals include Evita, Jeeves, Cats, Tell Me on a Sunday, Starlight Express, Song and Dance, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, School of Rock, Stephen Ward, and Cinderella, to name a few.
