The captain of the team, Roy Kent, is played by Brett Goldstein, who is also a writer on the show. Hannah Waddingham plays Rebecca Welton, the team's owner who hired the American coach. Sudeikis, Goldstein, and Waddingham all won Primetime Emmy Awards for the first season.
