Jason Sudeikis
Jason Sudeikis is a comedian and actor. Born Daniel Jason Sudeikis to Kathryn Sudeikis and Daniel Joseph Sudeikis, Jason grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. He began his career in improv performing at ComedySportz, now called Comedy City. Jason Sudeikis moved to Chicago and studied at the Annoyance Theatre and the IO Theater, formerly known as ImprovOlympic. He became a founding member of The Second City Las Vegas. While performing there, he was hired as a sketch writer at Saturday Night Live in 2003. He'd show up as an extra in sketches until becoming a featured performer in 2005 and a main cast member in 2006.
He starred on Saturday Night Live for seven years. In July 2013, Sudeikis announced he was leaving SNL. But he has returned on occasion to play a political character, as he was frequently known for on the show, and he hosted the show in 2021. Jason Sudeikis has starred in many movies and played in different TV shows such as 30 Rock, Horrible Bosses, We're The Millers, Masterminds, Going the Distance, Colossal, The Rocker, What Happens In Vegas, Eastbound and Down, Kodachrome, Downsizing, and more. He also starred off-Broadway in Dead Poets Society as John Keating. He has two younger sisters, and his personal life has been in the news plenty, as his breakup and divorce from Olivia Wilde, with whom he has two children, was a bit contentious. He is the executive producer and co-creator of Ted Lasso, the Apple TV+ hit series.

Rise to Fame
Before we dive into the whirligig of characters that Jason Sudeikis has portrayed, let's take a stroll through the milestones that catapulted him to stardom. Hold on to your hats!
Early Years
Born with comedy in his blood, Jason Sudeikis began his journey in Kansas. Guess comedy runs in the family, because he's the nephew of George Wendt—that's right, Norm from "Cheers"! Jason cut his comedic teeth at Comedy City in Kansas City, where I imagine he was the class clown sans the classroom. But that was just the beginning; the call of the comedic wild beckoned, and off to Chicago, Illinois he went. Hone his skills he did, at the famed Second City and ImprovOlympic—the veritable Jedi Academies for funny folks.
SNL and Beyond
Our main man Jason didn't stop there. Oh no, he was destined for the big leagues. He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live (SNL), and this is where he went from funny guy to national treasure. From 2003 to 2013, Jason made us snort-laugh with his slick dance moves and spot-on impressions. Post-SNL, his star just kept on rising, snagging roles left, right, and center—and who'd have thunk that the guy behind the SNL chuckles would end up spreading relentless positivity in a little show you might've heard of—none other than Ted Lasso? The journey of our funnyman is nothing short of inspiring, and we've only just scratched the surface.
