Which of the Most Famous YouTubers Are You?

Which of the Most Famous YouTubers Are You?
      Famous People · Lifestyle

By BrainFall Staff - Updated: April 9, 2024

Who is the most popular YouTuber around the world? Based on how many million subscribers YouTube channels accumulated, the individual answer is PewDiePie at 110 million YouTube subscribers. His YouTube Channel differentiated itself through polarizing play videos. The most popular American YouTuber is Jimmy Donaldson, better known as Mr. Beast. His YouTube channel features outrageous challenges, tests, money giveaways, occasional gameplay videos, and other forms of eclectic entertainment.

If we step away from these metrics, UpUpDownDown owner Xavier Woods makes a compelling argument for being the best-known YouTube personality. He wrestles for the global sports entertainment juggernaut World Wrestling Entertainment, which is a billion-dollar pop-culture fixture. YouTube personality Dude Perfect’s extensive ESPN exposure grants them high visibility too.

Much like the aforementioned names’ content, this quiz uses goofy personality quirks and scenarios in the name of entertainment to determine which of the popular YouTubers you are. We also included one of the top YouTubers of the investment/personal finance space, Graham Stephan, so those with their mind on their money get an agreeable return.

      Famous YouTubers

Famous YouTubers have helped YouTube gain immense popularity over the years. YouTube started in 2005. A Nike advertisement featuring Brazilian football player Ronaldinho kicked off YouTube's popularity around the world, becoming the first YouTube video with 1 million views. Music videos, life hacks, comedic videos, and gameplay videos became some of YouTube's core categories that remain extremely popular today. One of the first videos on YouTube to reach extreme popularity was the music video for singer Justin Beiber's "Baby." The zany music video for musician Psy's "Gangnam Style" became the first video to reach 1 billion views.

In recent years, the people behind the videos are as important as the content itself. Popular YouTubers become their own media personality. For example, Logan Paul and his brother Jake crossed into professional boxing and Disney. Dude Perfect became a staple on ESPN for their trick shot mastery. Dangerous outdoorsman Coyote Peterson parlayed showing the effects of dangerous creature bites into one of the biggest shows on Animal Planet, "Brave the Wild." Known for his gaming videos, Rubén Doblas Gundersen, better known as El Rubius, is one of the biggest Twitch stars, with the third-most followers on the platform. There are also many YouTubers famous for their comedy videos, including Liza Koshy and Lilly Singh.

      The Game of Subscribers

      Topical Titans of YouTube

Whether it's Shane Dawson's conspiracy theories or Logan Paul's vlogs, being a titan of YouTube means mastering your niche. From tech wizards to beauty gurus, these channels have captured viewers by the millions with their engaging and specialized content.

      Infamous Influencers and Their Empire

We can't forget the influencers who have built empires on controversies, like the Paul brothers. Their names alone can cause a frenzy, and with their infamous antics followed by apologies, they've created a brand out of unpredictability and excitement.

      Chart-topping Channels and Collaborations

Successful channels like Dude Perfect know that collaborations are crucial. They boost visibility by mingling with other YouTube celebrities and crossing over into each other's content, creating a powerhouse of shared viewers and, yes, even more subscribers.

      Content Creation Craze

Creating content is a mad science! We're talking the creativity behind Vlad and Niki's kids' adventures or the culinary delights of your favorite cooking channels. Originality mixed with consistency wins the game here.

      Hilarity and Hucksterism

Laughs are currency, and channels like Smosh and MrBeast have banked on it. Weaving humor with hucksterism is their MO, turning goofy antics or bold generosity into viral gold.

And there you have it! No need for a dramatic outro, but if you've chuckled or learned something new, our job here is done. Now, go forth and climb that YouTube ladder!

The Life and Times of a YouTuber

We've all watched with envy and intrigue as the people behind our screens transform from regular Joes to internet sensations. From their first Play Button to raking in eye-popping paychecks, these digital pioneers write their own rules in the world of entertainment.

      From Play Button to Paycheck

Starting with their very first milestone Silver Play Button, YouTubers like PewDiePie and MrBeast have come a long way. With every video upload, the view counter spins like a slot machine - cha-ching! When Socialblade statistics become a cause for celebration, you know you've made it big. Oh, and when you authenticate your fame by securing a spot on an American talk show? Now, that's pure gold.

Tables of Views and Earnings (Hypothetical):

      YouTuber Views Estimated Earnings
      MrBeast 10B $30M
      PewDiePie 20B $40M

      The Buzz Behind the Brands

It's not just about the subscriber count - it's also about the branded deals that can get a YouTuber to appear on the Forbes list. We're looking at you, Fernanfloo and JuegaGerman, with your knack for connecting with both American and international audiences. Whether it's a personalized merch line or collaborating with companies like WWE, these savvy internet moguls know how to make their personal brand stick.

      The Viral Video Vanguards

A viral video can turn the tides overnight. It's the Holy Grail - the pièce de résistance - of the YouTube world. From the catchy tunes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Ariana Grande, to the high-energy antics of Felipe Neto, these creators are spearheading the charge. They create the trends that the world follows, one viral sensation at a time.

      Trending and Transcendence

Trending on YouTube is like winning an award without having to dress up or prepare a speech. It's about hitting that sweet spot where content meets culture, and suddenly, you're not just a channel - you're an organization, an entity. Channels like MrBeast aren't just a group of friends goofing off anymore; they're the CEOs of their own entertainment empires.

Grab your cameras and polish your personas, because the world is watching, and the stage is yours to claim. Who knows—you could be the next big hit to come out of Russia, America, or anywhere you can connect to the internet!
