The show also stars Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, who goes from equipment manager to assistant coach, along with Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, Ted's main assistant coach on the sidelines. The captain of the team, Roy Kent, is played by Brett Goldstein, who is also a writer on the show. Hannah Waddingham plays Rebecca Welton, the team's owner who hired the American coach. Sudeikis, Goldstein, and Waddingham all won Primetime Emmy Awards for the first season.
