The main character, Usagi Tsukino, also known as Sailor Moon, starts as a normal middle school student. When Usagi meets an interesting talking cat, her world gets tossed upside down. The story follows her journey to becoming Sailor Moon and becoming friends with the other Sailor Scouts. The Sailor Scouts are named after planets, and they include Sailor Uranus, Sailor Saturn, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto.
