Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui that began in 2017. It tells the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who learns his only girlfriend from his middle school, Hinata Tachibana, as well as her brother, Naoto Tachibana, have been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. When Takemichi is pushed off a station platform, suddenly time leaps 12 years into the past. While reliving those middle school days, he meets up with Naoto and tells him when he and Hinata Tachibana will die. Upon shaking Naoto's hand, he is sent hurtling toward his originally set life in the present. In the present, Naoto is now a detective, and they figure out they can go back and forth between the past and future by holding hands.
Takemichi decides to take what he has learned from middle school and take down the sinister delinquent gang, the Tokyo Manji gang, from the inside. He learns more about the gang, and events are set in motion to try and save Hinata Tachibana and her brother's lives and prevent more death.
This manga was turned into a TV anime series as well as a feature film. While watching, you learn about life, what makes a villainous group villainous, friends, rock bottom life, and what it means to save your only girlfriend. Tokyo Revengers is for anybody who is interested in adventure.
