The Warriors novel series is a collection of books spanning seven sub-series. The series debuted in 2003 and features over 60 books. The main characters are feral cats that join clans to better survive. Some of the characters are bad and some of them are good. There is plenty of good vs. evil as a topic in the books. The clans include the ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and SkyClan. And then, cats who have done good in their lives go to the StarClan after they pass.
There are tales of love, adventure, and survival, as well as themes of religion and the afterlife. There is a leader of every clan and there is a deputy in each clan. Certain cats search for where they belong and look to get what they want. From the early onset, you see that the younger characters learn more from the elders, and as the books go on, those younger characters have kids and become the elders themselves.
